Nicola Guthrie
Nick Guthrie has been working with people with learning disabilities since 1996, originally in a day service for people in a long stay residential hospital and most recently at Ventures Day Service in Leeds. Working closely with Graham Firth, Nick is the Intensive Interaction lead at Ventures, a specialist health day service to support people with learning disabilities and provide highly specialised assessments and intervention.
Nick has been heavily involved in the introduction and hands on delivery of Intensive Interaction within Ventures, and has a prominent role in its development in the wider Learning Disability Service at Leeds Partnerships NHS Foundation Trust.
At the 2007 Intensive Interaction Conference, Ventures was named “Practitioners of the Year.” Nick has recently completed the accredited Intensive Interaction Coordinator Course.
